Procurement Specialist

About the Job

The Procurement Specialist position will be responsible for the award and administration of purchase orders in support of Government and Commercial Contracts.​ In addition, this position requires working extensively with various Program and Operational personnel to ensure services and supplies are ordered in a timely manner, delivered on-time and within quality specifications, at or below program budget, and in accordance with established Procurement Policies and Procedures.​

Summary of responsibilities:

  • Process and complete purchase requests to procure supplies and services required to support operations in accordance with contract requirements
  • Solicit vendors through formal Requests for Quotation (RFQ)/​Requests for Proposal (RFP)
  • Analyze proposals, quotations, and bids for specification compliance, price, delivery commitments and past performance
  • Conduct negotiations with suppliers to obtain products/​services at the best possible quality and cost to ensure end-user needs are met
  • Maintain communication with suppliers during the course of procurements in order to ensure timely delivery while maintaining compliance with the requirements of the procurement documents
  • Uphold internal and external policies, regulations and laws
  • Interface with Accounting regarding invoice processing and discrepancy resolution
  • Provide routine administrative support between Purchasing and Contracts
  • Provide leadership and work guidance to less experienced department staff
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Education/​Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration or a related business discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience.​
  • 3-5 years of related experience required.​
Required Knowledge/​Skills:
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with FAR/​DFAR and Public Law (TINA/​CAS) with knowledge of Government procurement practices and compliance
  • Working knowledge of the UCC (Uniform Commercial Code)
  • Experience in developing RFQ/​RFP documentation
  • Comfortable sourcing capital equipment, as well as goods and services in support of indirect and direct programs
  • Ability to effectively interface with internal and external customers
  • Effective analytical, organizational, customer service, and prioritization skills
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality

Order Filler, Warehouse Specialist, Warehouse Supervisor (Gulfport, MS)

About the Job

AQuate Corporation has an immediate need for an Order Filler in Gulfport, Mississippi. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the issue and de-issue of gear for multiple government customers, completed using a computer.  Participate in daily inventories and may be required to help in the processing of laundry, repairable items, and damaged gear.  Will also be involved in the transferring of military gear between warehouse locations using a hand-held computer device and warehouse equipment. Assist in processing and cataloging repairable, DRMO, and laundry items as needed.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Operates various equipment to maintain and repair items including washers & dryers
  • Uses the return process to retrieve damaged or washable items
  • Perform weekly maintenance functions
  • Prepares deliveries for transport
  • Wash, dry and assembly sleeping bags
  • Other warehouse duties as assigned
  • Must be able to pay close attention to details, and requirements.

Store Worker – Part Time On-Call

About the Job

AQuate Corporation is seeking a Store Worker to work Part-Time, On-call, as part of the Wearing Apparel Services contract for the Fort Sill, OK LRC, Supply and Services Division. The successful candidate will perform work and follow procedures in the Clothing Initial Issue Point (CIIP). Working under the supervision of the Assistant Project Manager, performs the following tasks: displays clothing items in a predetermined location using labels or other identifying marks, moves merchandise by use of non-motorized or motorized equipment. Issues designated clothing items to soldiers; straightens clothing items after each issue or exchange to give a neat, full, and organized appearance; removes damaged or outdated clothing as required; identifies requirements from existing inventory based on the projected number of soldiers who will be issued clothing in the course of a week; maintains inventory of clothing items stocked and requests merchandise on a daily basis from the warehouse if the back stock amounts are depleted; issues soldiers clothing items based on their size; and cross-trains to be able to assist in any of the stations of the Phase I or Phase II issue process.  

Responsibilities Include:
  • Ensures that the assigned issue station is always stocked, ready for issues. Daily/Weekly requests clothing items needed from the warehouse and accurately submits the request at COB on the designated workday.
  • Cross-trains to be fully capable to issue or exchange any clothing item in the soldiers’ Clothing Bag.
  • Willingly works as a team member and fills in at any issue station in the CIIP during the issue process.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to assist in the operation and upkeep of the CIIP.
  • Advises supervisor about inconsistent or defective clothing items and clothing items discovered during the fitting and alteration process of the female soldiers.
  • Maintains a clean and neat work area at all times.
  • Assists in the sorting of clothing items being sent to DRMO.
  • Assists in the disposal of recyclable materials when called on to assist
  • May involve carrying, crouching, define color, depth perception, Field of Vision, Hearing, Kneeling,
  • May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work includes Visual Inspections, Works with pallet jacks, Good Hand and Eye Coordination.
Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
